Strategy Guide for Voltron.Leo (The kitty)
Sphynx's Uulluan inspired Build (Speed Build)
1) Starting Talents: Might, Cunning, Fury, Haste, Fitness, Integrity, Swiftness (4-2-1)
Can also try 5-1-1 with Bloodthirst to get more lifesteal early.
2) Order of Ability learning: Max Q (Flux) first for farming creeps and spell burst to hurt enemy heroes; next max W (hunting) for chasing down enemy heroes; next max E (reflect); and of course R is your MASSIVE ult, and needs upping at lvl 6, 11 and 16.
3) Leo is melee with no real escape, so staying alive with leo is difficult. Intel builds on the Ultimate, which is really the only way you should engage the enemy.
Speed Build: Good for Map Mobility, Lane Pushing and Ganking/Positioning (weaker actual survivability/damage)
Item order:
1) Hunter's Hatchet
2) Machette (1 fusion blade start)
3) Lightning Rod
4) Phase Cloak (Can skip this item for faster TPI to help charge players, but this one allows you to approach by stealth)
5) Twin Paradox Isolator
6) TPI --> Yamato
7) Phase Cloak --> Shinobi
8) Eternity (Spell Damage will now heal you)
9) Lightning Rod --> Cerebro
10) Options: For more speed items: Silversoul; Parallax should block lockbox/stuns; Gravity Edge for Speed and Magic D Penetration; Galactic Defender can help you attack with a big amount of sheilds. Argus Crystal for more spell damage. All these items can help. The key item for inhousing will be Parallax, since stuns WILL be a problem.
Also useful items could include Gravity Edge, Galactic Defender
4) Notes on gameplay.
Leo is a melee character, best at chasing down weak heroes due to your passive speed increase near weak heroes. Being melee, you are very susceptible to pulls/cages/stuns. Picking the right time to engage is key. You pretty much need to be a Jungle with this hero. If you are in lane, you are likely going to get outplayed and forced to tower hug. You are pretty weak until lvl 6 and your ult is up. At the same time, with a good lane partner, you can be pretty deadly and rack up some kills early. Doing well in the early game will set you up for godlikes. Do poorly early, and you will need to "catch up" to have a K/D ratio about 0.500. Leo is very good at TEAM clearing. I.E. double kills and triple kills, if you engage 2nd or 3rd. Try not to engage first in large team fights... you are squishy and will die first. You need distractions, and if you approach from the right angle, at the right time... killing 2-3 heroes can be done easy.
A summary of how I play this hero is sorta like this: Kill creeps, kill jungles, when in lane focus creeps, if a hero comes close hit him with a Q and run away. Turn again focus on creeps. WHEN a hero gets to low life. Throw Haste down, chase them, use Q and ULT and kill them. After the kill run away, you are probably weak, warp home. Repeat. You do not try to fight head to head with your claws for the most part. ONLY with your ult are you scary.
