Strategy guide for Lord.Zyrkhan (LZ)
1) Starting Talents: Might, Fitness, Discipline, Integrity, Swiftness, Youth, Wealth (1-3-3) (My Standard Tank build) - Might is added for last hitting creeps, but you can always switch Might with Zeal (Speed when low on life). You could also choose to forgo Wealth and add Zeal, and start with Lost Treasure instead.
2) Order of Ability learning: Talents:
- Q (Overdrive) Debuffs and gives a speed boost, great for escaping stuns/slows etc, or good for charging someone (gaping the distance).
- W (Immortal Solace - RING) Creates a cage around yourself which can be used to trap opponents. Lasts 4 seconds. (Can pull people with this slowly, but its glitchy)
- E (Tenacious Fury) Increases WPN speed and armor as you attack things. Stacks up to 5x.
- R (Sheilds) - Give shields to all those around you, but you have to burn off some of your life to do so. This can be VERY strong if cast right, but LZ needs life items to maximize his R effectiveness.
INHOUSE BUILD: Full Tank Build.
For in-house games, I like getting Q maxed out first to help maximize escape abilities. The Ring always lasts 4 seconds so get 1 point here, then up your fury and ring together.
Actual Order (E Q W Q Q R Q E W E R W E W Y R Y Y)
3) Build Order:
The LZ passive is 10% Armor for you and allies. This is a very strong Aura. LZ is best built with Items that stack life, or team items for your team to be the ultimate support hero. Note: The reason LZ needs more life than most tanks, is that he is designed as being a tanky DPS hero. He makes for a good tank, but he needs more life early to survive the way Justicar/Micro do.
Item Order:
1) Goggles
2) Lost Treasure
3) Buckler
4) Lost Treasure --> Prophecy Stone (Increased life, regen and free wards (1))
5) Emerald Lotus
6) Goggles --> Phase Sheild Beta (Piece of Spell Buffer)(LZ has lots of natural armor, but no spell resist) (Note for inhouse you will continue at this stage to buffer since people need team items faster, for pub games continue as is)
7) ReBuy Goggles
8) Goggles --> Phase Sheild Alpha (Piece of Korhal Vangaurd)
9) Organic Carapace - Mainly needed early for the Health Regen, since your ultimate is a suicider, and also for the +1000 Health.
10) Complete Spell Buffer
11) Complete Korhal
12) Prophecy Stone --> Omniscience
13) Chilling Artifact
14) Lifetech Nanosuit - This item adds life and spell resist, and heals you once you drop below 30 life. This can be quite annoying for opponents as they charge you to get the kill, and you never seem to die
Notes: Three key team items are Chilling, Korhal and Spell Buffer. Normally with tanks you look at your opponents and decide how to defend yourself best. With LZ he needs the Spell Buffer fastest. His natural Armor will be quite high, especially with E stacking.
4) Notes on gameplay:
LZ like Justicar seems boring like many other tanks, But his ring cage is a game changer. LZ has a 4 second cage that when used with a partner give a really long time to beat down on someone. The cage is HARD to pull with, you have to walk really slowly (do not use the overdrive here). The Q Run spell (Overdrive) has a debuff which is quite nice, it can erase poison or molotov or burn damage when cast, can be used to escape or engage quickly. Generally speaking i use overdrive to dive towards opponents and catch them. I rarely try to pull the opponent but rather use this time to auto attack them. TANK LZ will do little damage, but any partner around has 4 seconds to catch up to you and cast or shoot the trapped opponent. This can be very hard to deal with and likely results in high assist numbers for LZ. TANK LZ will almost never get kills, your job is to stay alive, and minimize deaths. When played correctly, you are extremely frustrating to deal with.

An Alternative FUN way to play LZ (Not viable in-house, somewhat viable in pubs, but its fun)
DPS LZ BUILD: (Hilariously fun to play with - My fav build) (Note this is will not work in an inhouse game, its just for pub fun!!)
Starting Talents will be Might, Bloodthirst, Fury, Fitness, Discipline, Integrity, Swiftness (much more offensive)
Talent Order is different. Max out E first.
Actual Order (E W E Q E E W Q W Q W Q Y Y Y R R R) (Notice no Ultimate... see later)
1) Hunters Hatchet
2) Durans Machette
3) Durans Buckler
4) Pyre
5) Explosive Retrofit
6) Sliptyde Scythe
7) Executioner's Axe
7) Executioner's Axe --> Khali Blade
8) Contamination Shard
9) Cleaver
This way you can roll players, own nova 1on1, just beat on people inside your ring for 4 seconds.
Lots of kills, Likely lots of deaths.
Key Change: With this build Max E First (Fury) and then up Q and W, DO NOT develop your Ultimate, its useless with this build. Do stats first. Prepare for hilarious results.
4) Notes on gameplay.
DPS LZ - Just awesomely hilarious - hits cap speed with pyre and sliptyde almost, and thus is fun to play with. This build is just for fun, but it really is viable, its just extremely face-planty. As in you run in and kill or die.
