Strategy guide for Null.Disruptor (Nully)
1) Starting Talents: Might, Cunning, Fitness, Prodigy, Swiftness, Youth, Wealth. I have long debated the Talents on Nully. The for sure you need them talents are: Fitness, Swiftness, Youth. The debatable talents are Might (used for last hitting creeps), Cunning for increased spell damage, Prodigy for better cooldowns, Wealth (+$200), and last Integrity (increased armor).
The current build I have listed here cuts out Integrity. You can make up your own mind on these.
2) Order of Ability learning:
Talents:
Q (Magic Missles) - Fires 3 missles consecutively and stuns the target
W (Force Field) - Makes impassable walls (wall people in)
E (Arcane Sword) - Area Damage - Good for Creep Killing, Hero Killing - This is your main Spell Damage output.
R (Mirror Magic) - Pick a Position, Results in Q, W, E spells to be doubled around that spot (casts 2x)
Actual Order (E Q E W E R E Q W Q R Q W Y R Y Y)
3) Item Builds.
Nully is a rather straight forward hero. INT spell Damage = Items that boost spell damage or survivability items. For the most part, walls and stuns on Nully help with survivability. So simply adding a little life should keep you alive, mixed with Integrity (if you opted for it). There are several ways to play Nully. I have seen Multiple openings work well. I will list several here:
1) Duran's Pendant
2) Energy Regen Ring (These 2 starting items should give you a heck of a lot of sustain in lane)
3) Regen Ring --> Lost Treasure
4) Lightning Rod (Damage and some INT)
5) Miner's Goggles (You need life now)
6) Emerald Mox (+450 Life)
7) Emerald Mox --> Nitrogen Retrofit (Key item #1 used to add slowing to your spell damage)
8) Lost Treasure --> Warp Shard (Key item #2 used to escape pulls and other bad engagements)
9) Argus Crystal (Increased Spell Damage
10) Goggles --> Symphonic Seed (Good for CDR, and since Nully gets lots of assists, unique lowers your CDR even more)
11) Gravity Edge
12) Stars Fury (Sell Rod) - I dont think u need Cerebro at this stage, Fury's stack will provide more damage on the AA.
4) Notes on gameplay.
Nully is a very good Crowd Control (CC) and Area of Effect (AOE) Hero. This combination is deadly in in-house team fights, and is the primary reason for the high likelihood of it being banned in in-house games. As a result of high banning, very few players have bothered to learn the hero. So when you do get a chance to play this hero, its nice to use it well. Try not to waste energy early, Focus on last hitting creeps/denying, and when you can harass the enemy hero. Ideally this hero should have ALOT of assists if you build him more safe. And less assists and more kills if you build him aggressively (all INT, less survivability items).
A quick note on how to perform combos with this hero.
Cast R (mirroring) near an enemy hero
Cast Q stun to lock him in position
Cast E near him to put arcane swords on him
Cast W's to lock him in position.
AA the heck out of him.
This combo could also go: R E Q WWW
Sometimes I will cast E with mirror a little bit away from the hero to get a nice spread of the arcane swords. This will result in a large death area in big team fights.
