Strategy guide for Vergil.Nerazim (Vergil)
1) Starting Talents: Cunning, Fitness, Prodigy, Brilliance, Swiftness, Youth, Transport (1-1-5) (Transport can be replace with something else like spell resist or wealth or whatever)
2) Order of Ability learning: Max Q (Judgement Cut) first for damage - You basically cast this all game; next max W (wpn dmg reduction, on your judgement cuts) for reducing enemy damage; next max E (warp jump); and of course R is your ult, and needs upping at lvl 6, 11 and 16.
(Q E W Q Q R Q W E W R E W E Y R Y Y)
3) Item Build:
Vergil is high energy cost INT burst, with lots of escapes. His design is very little defense and all offensive casting and escaping.
Artemis's Build:
1) Start with Energy Ring, and Intel piece (Parts of Ihan Crystal)
2) Finish Ihan Crystal (Do powerstone first)
3) Yamato Cannon
4) Gravity Edge
5) Argus Crystal
6) Death Mask
7) Ancient Rune (For Tanks) (Debatable Item, you can skip this if you don't like it)
8) Sell Ihan --> Buy Symphonic Seed (Last few items can just use your preference of INTEL items. Just stack INT on Vergil for Damage is the basis of the build.
4) Notes on gameplay:
Vergil is great at escaping. No matter how you play with him, you should be dying very rarely. If you are dying alot, you are playing him entirely too aggressively. Vergil is great at basically just being present the entire time, constantly poking. Once someone gets low, thats when you want to use the ULT and chase them down with extra Cuts to finish them off. A quick note, you should almost always use your entire range, when you cast Verg's Ultimate. All you have to do is go over a hero, and he can take at most 3 cuts in damage. This will happen if you go past them at all. Do not try to click the ult right on a hero, or you could miss it.
Vergil is very very energy hungry. This is why the Ihan start mixed with Brilliance is a good way to play him. I did not notice much energy problems under these conditions.
Your auto attack is very weak, but can be useful for a final hit if needed. Overall, you should not be using your auto attack much. You will need to use your Q's wisely in lane to last hit, or get good at autoattacking the creeps while staying away from enemy heroes.
Overall the goal of this hero is to show up, Throw some Q's and an ULT. Get a kill, or injure them badly for others, then get out. Try to save your blink for escaping, not attacking. Or else you will get caught out there. Vergil takes almost no damage due to these escapes, and this build takes advantage of that by leaving you with no armor at all.... If you play vergil right, you don't need any armor, no one is ever hitting you.
